Professional Management Program

Successfully managing a substantial portfolio requires full-time attention. Most investors do not have the time or the ability to monitor markets with regularity, nor do they have the discipline to make changes as conditions warrant. BB&T Scott & Stringfellow's Professional Management Program (PMP) helps you meet your investment goals by establishing a long-term relationship based on trust and mutual respect. Our Financial Advisors are skilled investment professionals who provide quality service and guidance, and relieve you of the responsibility of making day-to-day investment decisions.
PMP offers you:

  • Assistance in defining your specific investment objectives. Our state-of-the-art planning tools will help you create an investment plan that allows us to focus on your specific goals and objectives.

  • Personalized service at the highest level. Your Financial Advisor will tailor and manage your account based on the strategy you develop as a team, and is always available to you.

  • Access to BB&T Securities' quality research. Leave complex buy and sell decision-making in the hands of investment professionals.

  • Quarterly performance reviews. Monitor your portfolio return versus your stated investment goals and objectives.

Only a small number of our Financial Advisors have met our rigorous selection requirements to participate in PMP. This select group of Financial Advisors must:

  • Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism over many years.

  • Be selected by senior management.

  • Successfully pass the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination.

  • Successfully complete a demanding portfolio management training course or have comparable experience.
